You are welcome to 51st Baltic Nations' Kommers in Riga!

Baltic Nations' Kommers tradition started 50 years ago to unite corps, that had to leave Baltic region because of it's occupation. This tradition hasn't changed ever since. The first B!N!K! in Baltics was held in Tartu in 1994 and it is a monument for our independence.

I wish everyone to make new friends at B!N!K!, find out new traditions and appreciate the chance to participate in multi-national event, which will leave indelible marks in the history of Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Germany.

I wish you all to remain loyal to the principles of fraternity and keep deeply the vow given at rapier in your heart.

This year, when Riga is the capital of European culture, citizens of Latvia and visitors have wonderful opportunity to enjoy different cultural events. It is very pleasant for us that Riga is also a place where the 51st Baltic Nations' Kommers is taking place. It gathers corps from different countries with different cultures, which have similar values based on belonging to corporation.

It is an honor for sorority Gundega and fraternity Latvia to organise 51st Baltic Nation Kommers. Last november korp! Gundega turned 90. These 90 years have given for me  confidence and belief that corporations, their traditions, goals and slogans are timeless from generation to generation.

On behalf of korp! Gundega I invite all members of corporations to take part in activities of the 51st Baltic Nations' Kommers to make stronger our friendship and to celebrate unity of corps.

I hope that Baltic Nations' Kommers will give you wonderful feelings, beautiful moments, happy meetings and inspiration to participate in the growth of corporations activity!
